How to Make a Cookie Box

With Mother’s Day coming up, we wanted to share a fun, pretty and unique project to make for mom – or your sister, aunt, best friend, grandma, mentor – whoever is important to you! We reached out to Amber Spiegel, a former Wilton decorating room employee and creator of SweetAmbs Cookie Art. You may have come across her amazing video tutorials on YouTube and Facebook. How I Taught Myself to Decorate Cupcakes

I love cupcakes, and if left unsupervised, I could devour a dozen in one sitting! I’ve tried baking cupcakes before, but never got into decorating them other than spreading icing on with a spatula. Having just joined Wilton’s digital team, and being the one with the least decorating experience, I thought that it’s about time to take this skill seriously. So, it was perfect that Wilton has launched the I Taught Myself to Decorate Cupcakes set to aid me with my new baking adventure.

My decorating skills have certainly grown a lot since I started working at Wilton two and a half years ago, but it wasn’t until recently that I made a tiered cake all on my own.
