April 14th, 2016 by Desiree Smith

Layered cakes may seem like a tall order, but with the Easy Layers pan set it’s a piece of cake. Stack layers high, color cake for an impressive slice-and-serve reveal and fill with luscious fruit or buttercream. Using the Easy Layers pan set helps save you the trouble of torting your cakes to make a trendy, tall, multi-layer cake. Just one box of cake mix or a single batch of batter is enough to fill all the pans in each set! There are plenty of ways to make easy layered cakes.

10 Easy Layered Cakes

The Easy Layers! 4-Piece Loaf Pan Set will help you make a classic torte in a snap. There are several recipes included with the set, but if you need a little more convincing, check out these delicious recipes:

Hummingbird Cake

Hummingbird Cake I have to start with this cake because its one of my all-time favorites. Sweet pineapple, banana, toasted pecans and a cream cheese icing – what’s not to love?! It’s a nice change from your standard chocolate or vanilla cake.
Dark Chocolate Orange Cake This is another fantastic cake recipe. I know, because I had the chance to sample it in our Test Kitchen! I used to be a bit perplexed by mixing chocolate and orange, but it works really well in this cake. The orange flavor is very subtle and really livens up this chocolate cake. Strawberry Shortcake Strawberry Shortcake Beautiful, classic and delicious. That’s how I feel about this cake. Fresh strawberries are sandwiched between fluffy layers of angel food cake. Finish it off with an equally light strawberry whipped cream.

Let’s go back to where it all started – our 5-piece, 6-inch round Easy Layers! set. We knew tall cakes were becoming popular for all kinds of reasons: ombre cake layers, rainbow cakes, naked cakes and cakes that combine different flavors. We also knew there had to be an easier way to make such awesome cakes. So, the 6-inch Easy Layers! pan set was born. The set also has a new sibling: the Easy Layers! 4-piece, 8-inch pan set. Check out all the different ways you can use these pans:
