Step 1: Combine the Sprinkles

It’s what’s on the inside that counts! Combine your concoction of pearls, nonpareils, and sprinkles in whatever color palette you decide to fill the cake.

Step 2: Create the Topper
Melt the Candy Melts following instructions to create the decorative top of this cake. Detailed directions can be found here.

Step 3: Bake the Cake Layers
Bake and cool five cake layers. Once cooled, remove the center of three of the layers – these layers will hold the sprinkle mixture surprise!

Step 4: Assemble the Cake
Place one solid layer on a platter and ice the top of it, smoothing with a spatula. Position the layers with the center cuts on top of each other with icing in between each layer to hold them in place.

Step 5: Surprise
Pour the sprinkle mixture into the center hole of the cake layers, then top with the final solid cake layer

Step 6: Decorate!
Ice the cake and press any remaining sprinkles halfway up the sides of the cake, or all over – put your own twist on it! Top with your candy coated question mark and wait to enjoy.
