Happy Galentine’s Day!

February 13th, 2018 by Desiree Smith

Happy Galentine’s Day, the most wonderful day of the year! It’s a day to gather with your best lady friends and celebrate what you love about each other. Female friendship is one of the most beautiful phenomenons of the universe – our fellow women support us, build us up, comfort us, and give their hand-over-heart honest opinion about that dress.

If you’ve never heard of this glorious annual celebration of women and you’re wondering (aloud, as you wonder most things), “What is Galentine’s Day,” you’ve come to the right place. It’s a day for women to honor other women and partake in the sweeter things in life! The origins of this esteemed holiday can be found in Pawnee, Indiana, where Leslie Knope created a precursor to everyone’s favorite (or for some, most dreaded) heart-shaped candy and possibility-of-proposals-filled holiday, Valentine’s Day. From that fictional and fateful first day emerged one of the most beloved days of the year by women everywhere.

So invite your most loved ladies over for a Galentine’s Day to remember!
