There are endless flavor offerings, too: strawberry, raspberry, key lime, pumpkin, chocolate, toffee, mocha…OK, I’ll stop with the word list and start with the pretty pictures. In case you didn’t know, National Cheesecake Day falls on July 30th. To celebrate this amazingly versatile dessert on its special day, I’ve gathered up 30 delicious cheesecake recipes. NO Bake Cookie dough ice cream sandwiches
You guys, I fell down a rabbit hole, and that hole was lined with delicious flavored gelatin. It started out innocently enough. I was looking for my mami’s delicious no bake recipe for a cheesecake-like JELLO called “Gelatina Flotatina.” When I was little, she would do some magic with a can of evaporated milk that resulted in a light cheesecake-mousse-y thing that wasn’t too sweet and also refreshing.
It’s delicious, easy to make, cheap, AND doesn’t require turning on the oven in this summer heat. It’s made with a combination of flavored or unflavored gelatin, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and/or cream cheese. I LOVE ALL THOSE THINGS.
Macarons are all the rage right now. These dainty French cookies have swept our dessert table by storm and have invaded our Instagram and Pinterest feeds by many food and dessert habitués. If you’ve ever wanted to make them, we have a basic French macaron recipe that you can use as your starting point. You can also enroll in a macaron class at The Wilton School in Darien, Illinois. The lessons will cover everything you need to know from proper batter preparation and hand piping techniques to filling your macaron shells. I attended this class and learned great tips and techniques. Now I’m macaron-obsessed and want to try every color and filling that I could possibly make!
