GOOOOOAAAAAAAAL! This weekend, the world’s most popular sport is put on center stage as nations compete in an international soccer tournament to vie for the title of world champion. Every four years, fans from around the globe cheer on their home country in what has become the most-watched sporting event in the world. If you’re a soccer fan and want to show off your decorating skills at a viewing party or summer BBQ, try your hand at piping grass onto your cupcakes and score big with your party guests!

Step 1: Bake the Cupcakes

Let the game begin!

Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes

Step 2: Prepare the Decorating Bag

Fit the decorating bag with Multi-Opening Decorating Tip 233 and fill 1/2 full with medium consistency icing.

Hold the decorating bag 90° straight up; the tip should be 1/8 in. above surface as shown.

Step 3: Decorate the Cupcakes

It’s time to get onto the field!

Squeeze bag to form grass. Pull up and away when icing strand is long enough (about 1/2 inch).

Stop pressure and pull tip away. Grass will be neatly formed only if you stop squeezing before you pull tip away.

Step 3: Helpful Tips

For a more natural look, pull tip slightly to the right or left, instead of straight up. Remember to keep clusters close together so cake does not show through – you want there to be plenty of grass on the field!
