My wedding shower was a few weeks ago. And what an amazing wedding shower it was! Besides all the wonderful and generous gifts my fiancé and I received from our family and friends, there was the awesome meal and the great company. Plus, we had the biggest sweet table I’ve ever seen.
We decided that the Bridesmaids, Moms and my Aunts would each make something for dessert. In my head I was thinking some cupcakes, some cookies, just a few things… boy was I happily wrong…
We had a banana cake, a lemon cake, chocolate petit fours, lemon petit fours, a lemonade cream cheese dip, sugar cookies, shortbread, chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate dipped bananas, brownies, kolacky, mini carrot cupcakes, lemon bars, gluten-free cookies, and gluten–free brownies. Even my two-year-old niece made graham crackers covered in icing.
What made it even better is that all the treats were decorated to match the gray and yellow color theme.
The sugar cookies were umbrellas from a Wilton Easter 18 Pc. Cutter Collection, covered in color flow with yellow and white sugar pearls on top. The lemonade cream cheese dip was in individual yellow polka dotted nut cups.
The cupcakes and cake were decorated with icing color and sprinkles. The chocolate dipped pretzels were accented with yellow and white Wilton Candy Melts®.
All these beautiful details from different Wilton products made everything just come together and look like perfection. We even used Wilton place card holders to identify to all the desserts.
You could see all the love and hard work that went into creating this sweet table. I can’t even explain how touched I was that my family and friends would make this stunning array of goodies just for me. And oh how good it all tasted. I, of course, had to sample everything. We even brought some Wilton treat boxes and candy boxes so the guests could take dessert home. I think all the guests enjoyed the sweets as there wasn’t much left when it was time to leave.
I really want to thank my mom, Auntie Carol, Auntie Linda, Pat, Kimmy, Katie, Lauren, Cindy and Sophia for making my day so special and for truly making the sweet table one to remember!
