Middle Eastern and North African FlavorsCinnamon-and-Aleppo-Pepper-Braided-Loaf-large

Middle Eastern and North African flavors have become increasingly popular ingredients in baking and other sweet treat making. This Cinnamon and Aleppo Pepper Braided Loaf  is reminiscent of classic cinnamon bread, but served with a side of sass as it weaves in a mild, almost citrus-like heat with Aleppo peppers.

Smoke Meets Sweet

This match made in heaven introduces woodsy notes of smoke infused-flavor, adding decadent depth to the dessert menu. Rich, smooth smoked flavor pairs well with almost any sweet treat. Add a dash of smoked sugar or smoked cinnamon for a hint of wood fire flavor. Or, opt for unmistakable flavor using ingredients, like smoked coconut, smoke roasted apples and whiskey dripping with smoky notes. These Sweet and Spicy Pecans feature chipotle pepper, which has a smoky taste.

Fruitful PossibilitiesHard-apple-cider-tart-large

For dessert, tap in to the “fruitful possibilities” trend with this Hard Apple Cider Tart. The tart plays up crisp, light apple flavor with a refreshing bite of hard cider. Produce sections are piled high with ever-expanding selections of fruit. Each type boasts its own signature flavor, texture, fragrance and color.

Dessert Mash Ups and Remixes

Serve up classic treats with a twist. From banana walnut French toast cupcakes to red velvet cookies and pecan pie cheesecake, there’s no telling what we’ll come up with next. These ultra-fudgy brownies are topped with a layer of rich, creamy Salted Caramel-flavored white chocolate ganache. Pretzel bits are stirred into the brownie and then dusted over the top, providing a satisfying and salty crunch in every bite.
