April 18th, 2013 by Traci Chapple

I love buttercream icing! The taste, the smell, the look, and the endless decorating possibilities! However, decorating with buttercream comes with many tips, bags, and messy icing that you need to create an edible masterpiece. Our new Bag Cutter and Brush Set makes using buttercream that much sweeter!

Bag Cutter and Brush Set The set includes a new bag cutter that is designed to work with the Twist Quick Coupler Set. All you need to do is insert the inner coupler from the Twist Quick Coupler into bag. Slide on cutter with arrow pointing toward coupler. Squeeze side tabs, twist and cut!

No more guesswork about where to cut your bag, or wasting bags that you’ve cut too far up. Now it’s that much easier to jump into decorating your cake!

The Bag Cutter and Brush Set also includes two brushes that are specifically designed to help clean your decorating tips – from round to star, large to standard. The purple grip makes holding them easy so you can really get into that tip and clean it out.

All the pieces in this set are also safe to clean in the dishwasher! So throw them in and press “Start!” When they’re all clean, you can use the included ring to keep your set together. The Bag Cutter and Brush Set has already earned a top spot right next to my sink for easy access.

Happy decorating!

Not a bad idea but I’m waiting on Wilton to start producing the disposable decorating bags and couplers that hold two different colors of frosting. I’ve only come across 1 or 2 places on the internet that carries this new item and so far they don’t have available the items individually.

What is the anticipated life of the cutters?

I was very excited for the cutter. Unfortuately the “blades” are made of plastic & broke after I used it on 2 bags. Neither bag was cut all the way, I still had to use scissors. The concept is great, maybe metal blades would be more useful.

I was disappointed in the bag cutter. The blades are just not sharp enough to cut the bag. I agree that the blades should be metal.
