Prior to working at Wilton, I never imagined I had the ability or patience to create a beautifully decorated cake. I quickly developed an interest in the cake masterpieces on Wilton’s website and throughout the Wilton yearbooks, so my curiosity turned into action as I became enamored with baking and decorating cakes and sweet treats. Protect Your Tools in Transport and Storage with the Wilton Tool Organizer

It seems like the longer I work for Wilton, the more I like to decorate cakes! I had to start somewhere, so last year I took the Wilton Method Decorating Basics Course (Course 1) to learn the basics of cake decorating. I found myself transporting and storing my tools in plastic bags and cardboard boxes. I asked myself, do other decorators have this same problem? (more…)

The Wilton tradition of cake decorating dates back to the late 1920’s when McKinley Wilton started to teach Pulled Sugar to European Chefs and Culinary Artists, and he in turn, learned the time honored European pastry techniques.
