As you’re running around finishing all sorts of errands this holiday season, cookie baking may have fallen to the bottom of your list. If you need an easy dessert idea in a snap, why not…fondue?
Set up a fondue station using a Candy Melting Pot. It’s one of my absolute favorite tools because it’s so simple to use and even easier to clean up. Pick up some light cocoa or dark cocoa Candy Melts, empty the entire bag into the silicone melting pot, and set it to the highest heat setting to melt. Once the Candy Melts are completely melted, switch the heat setting to “warm” to keep them fluid. Set out a variety of store-bought treats to dip with – pretzel rods, strawberries, marshmallows and cookies are easy and delicious.
If you need to refill your melting pot, just add more Candy Melts and move the setting back to “melt”. Once everyone’s had their fondue fun, turn off the melting pot and unplug it. Let the Candy Melts harden completely, then just pop them out of the silicone pot which can be hand washed or put in the top rack of your dishwasher. Depending on how much candy is left in the melting pot, you can store them in an airtight container to melt again.
