Give the “Gift of Class”

December 18th, 2009 by Shawn Broda

Are looking for gift ideas for your favorite baker, cook, or crafter? Do you know someone who loves the cake and cooking shows on television? Give them the Gift of Class! A Wilton Method Class, that is!

Wilton Method Class StudentA gift card from a retail store that offers Wilton classes along with a cake decorating kit makes a perfect gift. Not only will you give them a fun experience and introduce them to Wilton cake decorating, but it’s also the gift that keeps on giving — they will use their newly learned skills for years to come!

Giving the Gift of Class is easy!

1. Choose a retail store that offers Wilton Method classes near your gift recipient. If you need help finding a store, use our Class Locator.

2. Purchase a gift card from the store to cover the amount of tuition (a store associate can help you determine the right amount). Ask for a flyer with upcoming class information to include with your gift.

3. Select a Wilton Student Kit or filled Tool Caddy to give with the gift card. This will give them a head start on their class supplies!

To make your gift even more special, why not give yourself the Gift of Class too? Taking a Wilton class together in the New Year will give you both much to look forward to.

Happy Holidays – and Happy Decorating!

In August I received a tool caddy and a gift card for the wilton classes, for my birthday. I finished my last course this week. I really enjoyed the classes. I took the classes at Michael’s craft store located in Charleston SC. My instuctor, Monika Earhorst, was wonderful. Do you have anywhere on your website where I can rate/review my instructor?

    • Shawn Broda says:

Sandie, thanks so much for the wonderful comments about your WMI! We don’t have an official process for rating instructors, but I will pass on your comments to Monika’s Supervisor to make sure she’s recognized.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your “Gift of Class”!

      Happy Decorating,

For Christmas 2007 my husband gave me a Wilton Course 1 kit and signed me up for Course 1. Although I’d been dabbling in cake decorating for years, I couldn’t believe how much I learned – starting with the first night of class! I enjoyed Course 1 tremendously, and ended up taking all the classes. Afterwards I went on to become a Wilton Method Instructor! I still love the Wilton classes so much, and it’s wonderful to be able to share my love of cake decorating with others. I am grateful to have had such a wonderful instructor (Maria Elias) and strive to make my classes as enjoyable as hers were. So to this day, the “gift of class” I received back in 2007 still keeps giving!

I took a class with Sue a few years back, it was wondering if she’s still teaching. Please let me know where cause she was the best teacher I had.
