Just in time for Easter: 3 ways to use a grass tip

April 2nd, 2015 by Desiree Smith

Easter is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to decorate sweet treats with the grass tip, also known as tip 233. The grass tip is a multi-opening tip that makes it quick and easy to pipe grass, fur and more.

You can jazz up cakes, cupcakes, cookies and even premade treats like store-bought brownies for Easter using this tip. Varying the color of your icing helps enhance different looks – white for bunny fur, brown for a bird’s nest and green for grass.

Putting different pressure on your piping bag and allowing the icing to be short, medium or long also changes the look.

Check out these 3 decorating ideas for this year’s Easter gathering:

1. Carrot Snatcher Easter Bunny Cupcakes

The grass tip is, of course, perfect for grass! Sweet Treat Team blogger Food, Family & Finds used the Wilton Bunny Tail Cupcake Decorating Kit and grass tip to create these cute bunny cupcakes. Visit her blog to see how it’s done.

2. Easter Egg Nest Doughnuts

Sweeten your Easter morning by baking your own doughnuts and topping them with a bird’s nest filled with jelly bean eggs. Chocolate Ready-to-Use Decorator Icing and tip 233 help you make the perfect little nest. Find all the instructions you need here.

3. Furry Bunny Cake

White buttercream icing and tip 233 makes this bunny cake look so soft that you’ll almost want to pet it! Get the how-to here.
