Mini Treat Pops: Play with Flavor, Delight your Guests, Treat your Friends

Lemon Basil Shooters with RaspberriesThe trend today is toward small-bite desserts and tastings. This new trend has its roots in the recent trend of “flights” — samplers served at restaurants — in both foods and drinks, but the new tastings are smaller servings, a true “tasting,” letting you try multiples.

We noticed that our popular treat pops were more of a “serving” than a “taste.” We were convinced that the unlimited treat pop flavor combinations would be a perfect fit for this new small-bite dessert trend. So, honey, we shrunk the treat pop containers!

The new Wilton Mini Treat Pops containers make it easy to layer cake, icing and fillings to create a delectably flavorful small dessert. We kept the best of what made our treat pops easy to use. The cap doubles as a stand, making it easy to fill the pops and easy to transport them as well. The containers are dishwasher safe, so you can use them at party after party. And, the square treat pop containers are available in both a 12 pack and a 24 pack.

But the benefit is that you or your guests can sample different flavor combinations without the guilt of eating too much! You should try our latest flavor creation — Lemon Basil Shooters with Raspberries. The mix of tart and sweet, complete with a basil-infused syrup and creamy lemon curd, will have your mouth watering.

Over the coming months, we’ll be adding even more recipes for delicious mini treat pops. But, for now, just imagine the possibilities: Mocha cake with a smooth cinnamon buttercream spiked with coffee-flavored flavoring. Cherry cake with a fudge ganache and a chocolate-covered cherry on top. Light angel food cake with refreshing berries and whipped cream. Ginger cake with green tea icing. Turtle® cake made with brownies, caramel and pecans. Can you tell I’ve been thinking about the sweet small treats I can serve to my guests at my next party?

What flavor combination will you try first? Leave me a comment and let me know. You might inspire one of our new recipes!
