Wondering how to make chocolate-covered strawberries for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day? You’ve come to the right place! This easy chocolate-covered strawberries recipe is perfect for beginners or for the whole family to do together!
Melt the Light Cocoa candy in the microwave or a double boiler, following the instructions on the package. Transfer the melted candy to the fondue pot, then light a tealight candle underneath to keep the cocoa candy warm.
Step 2: Dip the Strawberries
Make sure your strawberries are washed and completely dry before dipping. If your strawberries are still wet, the water can cause the candy to seize and get clumpy.
Dip your dried strawberries in the melted cocoa candy, then transfer them to parchment paper to set at room temperature. This should take about 20 minutes.
Step 3: Decorate!
Now comes the fun part – decorating! Prepare a decorating bag with a couple spoonfuls of the melted candy. Drizzle it over the set strawberries. Let them set again, about 5 minutes.
Once set, dip the bottom end of the strawberries into the remaining melted candy. Immediately dip in the topping of your choice. Let your strawberries set one more time, about 10 to 15 minutes.
