Flower pot cakes with blooming cookie pops

Imagine serving a platter of these cheery flowers in edible pots at your next cookout or selling them at the spring bake sale table! Cat Davis at Food, Family and Finds (and a member of the Wilton Sweet Treat Team), posted Spring Flower Pot Cakes she made using the new Wilton 7-Piece Colored Metal Garden Cookie Cutter Set and the Wilton Flower Pot Mini Cake Pan. We are smitten with the two-layer flower cookie pops and the whimsy of the striped straw bolstered by a lollipop stick as the stem.

Cat always has great tips and hints — we love how she breaks down the project, turning it into a spring break activity to do with the kids! She said her inspiration came from the Flirty Flower Pot Cake project found on the Wilton website. We think she nailed it, creating adorable mini flower pot cakes with two-layered cookie pops. Let us know what you think … leave Cat a little blog love while you’re at it!
