Storage Solutions: Cake Decorating Organization

January 5th, 2016 by Desiree Smith

Cake decorating can be messy, and I’m not just talking about the icing, crumbs and sprinkles. Your collection of icing colors, decorating tips, fondant and gum paste tools might be cluttering up your cabinets, too. If you’re looking to get your supplies under control, we have plenty of cake decorating organization tools that can help!

Tool Organizer: Let’s start small. This tool organizer holds all the tools from Course 1 Decorating Basics and up to a 13 in. spatula. The hinged divider snaps into place to separate clean and dirty tools, and lays flat when open for optimal space saving.

Tip Organizer: Find your tips with ease while decorating! This tip organizer holds 55 standard-sized tips and allows for nesting of up to three tips. There is a separate compartment for couplers, flower nails and oversized tips. The storage tray nests on its lid to maximize space and is angled for easy viewing. It also conveniently stacks with the icing color organizer, which you’ll find next on our list.

Decorator Preferred Carry-All ToteThis tote is honestly one of my favorite items! If you’re often taking your decorating supplies on-the-go, this stylish, oversized durable canvas bag carries practically anything you may need. Plus, cleanup is a breeze! The grease-resistant lining zips open easily and wipes clean with a damp cloth. The sturdy base keeps the tote standing upright whether empty or filled, and adjustable separators divide the tote into three compartments to hold items. You’ll also find smaller inner side pockets that are perfect for other decorating tools.

I have the Ultimate Tool Caddy and I still need more room! I have a bunch of tools and tips from my mother, plus all mine. The only thing I don’t keep in the caddy are the spatulas. I keep them in my utensil drawer in my kitchen.

I love my Ultimate Tool Caddy & Tip Organizer. Unfortunately, I so wanted the
Icing Color Organizer to work for me – great size – convenient – but it just never closed properly. Have had several people in class that it did not work for them either – is it a defect do I take it back?
