Thick Cut-Out Sugar Cookies From Your Kitchen, Not The Bakery

April 5th, 2014 by Desiree Smith

Check out the delicious-looking, thick roll-out sugar cookies in this picture, courtesy of the Baking Bites blog! Don’t you just want to take a bite? I know I do! I’ve found a kindred spirit in Nicole Weston, Baking Bites blogger and member of the Wilton Sweet Treat Team.

As Nicole says in her post, “I sometimes find myself caving in and getting one (from the bakery case) just because they look so appealing.” But rather than buying them at the bakery, Nicole shows us how to make them in her Thick Cut-Out Sugar Cookie blog post.

Nicole used cutters from the Wilton 7-Pc. Garden Metal Cookie Cutter Set to make fabulous flower cookies. As I read her blog post, I felt like I was right there in the kitchen with her, rolling out the cookies and talking about how to flavor them.

Plus, I love that the hints she offers on how to decorate them range in difficulty — a technique for every skill level. Try out the recipe, and let Nicole know yourself how yummy they are by leaving a comment on her blog. Meanwhile, let us know what you will make using the garden cookie cutters by leaving a comment below.

The Sweet Treat Team is a select group of bloggers who serve as Wilton brand ambassadors. They are privy to new product launches and Wilton news. Stay tuned to see the fun projects they create using Wilton items.
