How to Make Royal Icing Valentine's Day Cookies

– 4-Piece LOVE Cookie Cutter Set (see link below) – Cookie Sheet – Cooling Grid – Disposable Decorating Bags   – Bowls – Large plate, for dipping

– Roll-Out Cookie Dough (homemade or store bought) – 2-Batches of Royal Icing (see link below) – Burgundy, Red-Red, Pink, Ivory, Violet, Royal Blue, Rose Icing Colors – White Sparkling Glitter – Gold Pearlized Sugar

Ingredients

Prepare your preferred roll-out cookie dough. Use our LOVE cookie cutters to cut them out.

Bake cookies according to dough instructions. Remove & cool completely to room temperature. 

Prepare two batches of our Royal Icing recipe. (see link below) 

Once made, tint one portion each dark pink, light pink, blue and purple using food coloring combinations provided.

Combine the Burgundy and Red-Red icing colors to get the dark pink color shown.

Combine the Pink, Burgundy and a touch of Ivory icing colors to get the light pink color shown.

Combine the Royal Blue and Violet icing colors to get the blue color shown.

Combine the Violet and Rose icing colors to get the purple color shown.

Reserve the remaining portion and leave it white.

Prepare the decorating or piping bags separately with the different colors of icing.

Pipe horizontal lines of icing on a large plate.  Order them: White, Blue, Purple, Dark Pink, Light Pink

Dip cookies into piped icing to create unique pattern. Place them on cooling grid.

Decorate with white sparkling glitter and gold pearlized sugar. Let dry for at least 2-hours.
