For Coloring Large Amounts of Frosting (1 Cup or More)

Color Right Concentrated Food Coloring

Featuring ultra-concentrated colors in squeezable bottles, Color Right food coloring will give you the right shade of navy blue without compromising consistency.

Navy blue is not included in the base colors but can be created by mixing Blue, Red and Pink base colors together.

Light Navy Blue: 1 cup white buttercream + 13 drops Blue + 4 drops Red + 2 drops Pink

Medium Navy Blue: 1 cup white buttercream + 26 drops Blue + 8 drops Red + 4 drops Pink

Dark Navy Blue: 1 cup white buttercream + 52 drops Blue + 16 drops Red + 8 drops Pink

Icing Colors

Icing colors are a great way to tint your buttercream. Be sure to use a clean teaspoon or toothpick to add color to your frosting.

Navy blue is not included in the collection of gel icing colors but can be created by mixing Royal Blue, Black and Violet icing colors together.

Light Navy Blue – 1 cup white buttercream + 1/4 teaspoon Royal Blue + 1/8 teaspoon Black + 1/8 teaspoon Violet icing colors

Dark Navy Blue – 1 cup white buttercream, 3/4 teaspoon Royal Blue + 1/2 teaspoon Black + 1/2 teaspoon Violet icing colors

  • In a bowl, combine 1 cup white buttercream, small amount Royal Blu and medium amount Black and Violet icing colors. Mix well.
