- In the glass bowl, add the meringue powder and water and mix on medium until frothy. Add the vanilla and mix until soft peaks form.

- Slowly add the sugar, gradually mixing for about 10 seconds on medium in between each addition.

- Once all the sugar has been added, mix on high for 2-5 minutes until stiff peaks form.

- Since were making flags, we’ll need to separate the meringue to get the red, white and blue colors.
- Divide the meringue batter into three equal portions. Add about a tablespoon of blue gel coloring to one portion and a tablespoon of red gel coloring to another portion and mix well. Leave the remaining portion white.
- Prepare three piping bags with tip 2A. Fill bags separately with blue, red and white meringue batter.

- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pipe a small dot of blue meringue and set treat stick inside. Pipe the blue square of the American Flag on the stick.

- With the bags of the red and white meringue, pipe alternating lines to resemble the flag-making sure to connect each line to each other and the blue squares.

- Top with white nonpareils on the blue to resemble the stars of the flag.
- Bake for about 30-35minutes and allow to cool completely.
- Top with silver edible glitter and enjoy!
